Bryant Rabbino served as Co-Bond Counsel to The City of New York (the “City”), one of the nation’s most active and comprehensive issuers of tax-exempt bonds, Bryant Rabbino played a primary role in connection with the issuance by the City of its $950,000,000 General Obligation Bonds, Fiscal 2023 Subseries B-1, and $400,000,000 Taxable General Obligation Bonds, Fiscal 2023 Subseries B-2. The Subseries B-2 Bonds were the first ever issue of “Social Bonds” by the City. Social Bonds are part of an emerging class of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) bonds that support projects with positive social and environmental outcomes. Proceeds from the sale and issuance of the Social Bonds will be used to support more than 3,000 units of affordable housing in New York City.
